Job summary

Pacific Life seeks a Construction Manager to join the Construction Services team in Newport Beach, CA. The role reviews monthly status of ground-up projects across multi-family, student housing, high-rise and related construction, with remote consideration for the right candidate.

You will collaborate with loan closing and equity teams, manage documentation, and lead on-site draws. The position requires 10+ years in construction and a 4-year degree or equivalent, plus travel readiness.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in the construction industry in a PM or manager role.
• 4-year degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Proficient knowledge of plans, specs, contracts and loan draw review.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, OneDrive, Adobe Acrobat Pro, SharePoint, Box and Procore.
• Willingness to travel for on-site meetings.

Responsibilities

• Review construction documents and assessments; advise on risks during due diligence.
• Interpret issues and recommend process or product improvements.
• Solve complex problems with a broad perspective and innovative solutions.
• Monitor project construction to ensure conformance with documents; travel for on-site draws.
• Set up kick-off meetings for new construction projects and coordinate with teams.
• Maintain extensive project documentation for internal use and distribution.
