Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) seeks a seasoned Construction Manager to oversee new store builds and special projects from start to turnover. You will negotiate with developers, landlords, architects, and consultants and coordinate multi-site activities across a fast-paced environment.

This is a remote role preferred for candidates in the Central US, with 50–75% travel. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in engineering, architecture, or construction management and have 7+ years of

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
• 7+ years experience in multi-site construction management.
• Knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, electrical, and mechanical disciplines and ADA requirements.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative, team-focused problem solver.
• General systems knowledge (CAD, Excel, Word).
• Travel 50-75% – approx. 45 weeks of travel.
• Ability to climb a ladder, lift up to 30 lbs, and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Participate in negotiations of construction activities and establish terms and schedules.
• Establish project schedules and adapt activities to meet delivery dates.
• Identify and qualify potential contractors for project use.
• Manage the GC bidding process through contract execution.
• Monitor and enforce criteria compliance and quality control during construction.
• Coordinate information flow between internal teams and external contractors/architects.
• Review documents during budgeting, entitlement, approvals, and construction.
• Coordinate turnover of projects to Store Opening and Operations teams.
• Support warranty and latent defect repairs as needed.
• Ensure audit-compliant closeout of completed projects.
