Job summary

Better Buzz Coffee is seeking a Director of Construction to lead all new restaurant design, construction, scope, schedule, and budget management. This role reports to the Vice President of Construction and drives timely delivery with external vendors while maintaining brand standards.

The candidate will oversee cost control, project documentation, and value engineering across multiple locations in California and beyond. Remote-friendly with opportunities to base in Southern California.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in restaurant construction projects.
• 5+ years in construction management.
• Bachelor’s in construction/architecture/engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of scope, schedule and budget for new restaurants.
• Coordinate with real estate, design and development teams.
• Manage construction estimates, master schedules and vendor relationships.
• Review contracts and construction documents for requirements.
• Monitor general contractor performance and compliance with brand standards.
• Lead weekly status meetings with team and contractors.
