Job summary

somewhere is seeking a seasoned Construction Job Costing & Operations Manager to own job costing, purchasing, QuickBooks accounting, and operational execution from a Latin American base. The role is a full-time remote contractor aligning with US EST/CST business hours and requires proactive leadership of financial workflows for active builds.

Qualifications

• Must have strong job costing, accounting, and finance mastery.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and purchasing workflows.
• Ability to lead with vendor management and deadlines.
• Excellent English communication with US contractors and officials.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage job-cost accounting in QuickBooks across all active projects.
• Perform 3-way invoice reconciliation and bill pay against POs and quotes.
• Develop advanced Excel financial models for budgets, variances, and cash flow.
• Build scalable financial workflows for onboarding new projects as we scale.
• Run RFQ processes to trade subcontractors and suppliers; analyze pricing.
• Issue precise Purchase Orders against approved subcontractor quotes.
• Manage material procurement and supplier scheduling to protect timelines.
• Engage with subcontractors, vendors, and officials to drive accountability.
• Track permit workflows and approvals; coordinate with county personnel.
