Job summary

Remote Raven is seeking a Cost Accountant to join a long‑established electrical contractor-based team in Arizona. You will monitor job costs, track budgets, and analyze variances across multiple projects, working closely with project managers but from a remote environment.

You should bring 3+ years of construction cost accounting, strong WIP and revenue recognition knowledge, and proficiency with CMIC/ Viewpoint Vista/ Sage 300 CRE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Three+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Strong understanding of construction job cost accounting, WIP schedules, and percentage‑of‑completion revenue recognition.
• Proficiency with CMIC, Viewpoint Vista, Sage 300 CRE, or similar platforms.
• Advanced Excel for modeling, variance analysis, and reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to communicate financial concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor job costs and budgets across projects; analyze variances.
• Prepare and review WIP schedules and monthly cost reports.
• Reconcile project costs to GL; maintain data integrity in ERP systems.
• Participate in monthly cost reviews with Project Management and leadership.
• Support audits with cost documentation and internal controls.
