Job summary

Lemartec Corporation is seeking an Accountant to manage accounts payable and receivable, record transactions, and support monthly closes. The role requires 3–5 years of accounting experience in the construction industry and proficiency with Sage 300 Construction Software, along with strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with Sage 300 Construction Software.
• Experience in the Construction industry.
• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Bank Reconciliation
• Prepare and post Journal Entries
• Analyze and Reconcile Various GL Accounts and Prepare Month-end workpapers
• Review and process invoices
• Follow-up on invoice approvals
• Meet with Senior Accountant weekly for payment selection
• Prepare Sales and Use Tax Return
• Handle calls regarding Accounts Payable
• Reconcile vendor statements
• Post cash receipts
• Reconcile Credit Card Transactions
• Obtain and organize information for internal and external audits
• Understand SOX guidelines to ensure accurate controls and segregation of duties
• Perform other work as required or assigned
