Advarra is seeking an Editor II, Consent Form Development to support the IRB Services department in reviewing submissions and preparing informed consent forms used in human subject research.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, collaboration with Board members and staff, and ongoing training. This position is open to remote US-based candidates with strong attention to detail and manuscript editing skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of technical/medical writing and/or editing with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience writing and/or editing consent forms or other research documents.
• Proficiency in Word processing and editing (Tracked Changes, Compare Merge).
• Familiar with Excel, PowerPoint, Slack, Zoom, and web-based software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-reviews of consent forms to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Edit consent forms to align with regulatory standards and requirements.
• Incorporate sponsor language into consent documents per client agreements.
• Collaborate with Board members and staff to include necessary edits.
• Maintain knowledge of U.S./Canada regulations related to human subjects protections.
• Attend IRB meetings and participate in process-improvement discussions.
