Job summary

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP is seeking a Conflicts Analyst II to support the Firm’s compliance and risk management related to potential new business. You will review, research, and analyze new business submissions to identify conflicts and ensure adherence to Firm policies, communicating findings clearly to attorneys and staff.

This role can be based on the West Coast or remotely, with a focus on thorough research, analysis, and coordination with the General Counsel and Risk Management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience required.
• 3–5 years of conflicts analyst experience, preferably at a large law firm.
• Working knowledge of Intapp products preferred.
• Excellent analytical, research, and organizational skills.
• A problem-solver with strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
• Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential ethical and business conflicts of interest presented by new business.
• Conduct comprehensive research, analysis, and documentation of conflicts of interest.
• Prepare detailed conflict of interest reports and present findings to Firm partners.
• Review new business intake forms for completeness and compliance with laws and policies.
• Review draft engagement letters and maintain records.
• Ensure timely processing of new business requests.
• Collaborate with Office of the General Counsel and Risk Management on risk matters.
• Implement risk management processes and participate in training initiatives.
• Support customer service needs and contribute to process improvements.
