Job summary

Analytical Mechanics Associates is seeking a Computer Science/Engineering Intern to advance computer vision work for lunar landing imagery. The role supports CNNs/ViTs, PyTorch usage, and cross-team iteration while producing documentation and CAD-ready outputs.

Work may be remote or at AMA locations; a degree progress in physics, CS, or engineering is required, with strong programming in C/C++, Python, or Julia. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required for ITAR/EAR compliance.

Qualifications

• Progress toward a degree (undergraduate or graduate) in Physics, CS, or Engineering.
• Experience with CNNs/ViTs applied to images.
• Programming experience in C/C++, Python, or Julia.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply computer vision techniques (CNNs/ViTs) to improve imagery during lunar landing.
• Iterate designs based on feedback from engineering teams.
• Produce CAD-ready drawings and configuration-controlled packages for reviews.
• Develop reports and presentations with clear guidance and comments.
• Attend meetings, teleconferences and workshops as needed.
