Job summary

CHIMES is seeking a Computer Network Architect for a remote role within the USA to design, evaluate, and enhance secure network solutions aligning with customer capacity, performance, and availability needs.

You will design architectures, identify requirements, monitor performance, and implement security and disaster recovery measures, while coordinating maintenance and documenting procedures. A relevant degree and preferred certifications strengthen candidacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant technical certifications preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Degrees and certifications in computer science, data science, or related fields are preferred, but equivalent education and experience are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate network architectures that meet performance, capacity, security, reliability, interoperability, and cost requirements.
• Identify hardware, software, interface, bandwidth, and routing needs; prototype and validate configurations.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and scale resources to meet changing demand.
• Develop security measures, such as firewalls, audits, and automated probes; create disaster recovery and continuity plans.
• Coordinate maintenance, upgrades, testing, and documentation.
