Job summary

Mechanics Bank is seeking a Compliance Risk Manager to own, manage, and continuously improve regulatory risk assessment processes. You will report to the Director of Compliance Risk and collaborate with Audit, Risk, Compliance, and Legal to strengthen risk identification, measurement, and reporting.

The role supports BSA/AML and consumer protection requirements, requires 5+ years in banking compliance, a 4-year degree, and professional certifications such as ACAMS or CRCM.

Qualifications

• 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of banking or regulatory compliance experience.
• Certifications such as ACAMS, CRCM or CERP are preferred.
• Experience with compliance management systems and governance tools.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage annual and quarterly Compliance Risk Assessments.
• Lead risk assessment activities with business risk owners and ensure quality documentation.
• Produce reports summarizing risk assessment results for executives and examiners.
• Develop data-driven insights to strengthen risk identification and measurement.
