Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Compliance & Reporting Specialist to handle routine and non-routine reporting for disposal and waste diversion under franchise terms. The role focuses on accurate, timely franchise reporting and resolving variances across municipal data.

The position requires following SOPs, generating standard and ad-hoc reports, and translating data into customer-friendly solutions. Strong MS Office skills and 1+ year related experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows standard operating procedures and prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports pertaining to tonnage, diversion, disposal and franchise fees.
• Researches and resolves variances and discrepancies related to disposal reporting. Follows standard operating procedures and determines the appropriate resolution.
• Reviews tonnage and franchise fee reporting for completeness and accuracy. Follows up with division staff, municipalities, or external disposal facilities to resolve identified discrepancies.
• Generates standard and ad-hoc reports, applying skill, judgment, and understanding of operational information and needs.
• Translates system data into scalable and easily understood solutions for external customers.
• Runs various reports to prepare franchise fees and ensures franchise fee payments are processed and submitted timely to meet deadlines.
• Organizes data for standard weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and yearly reports using various Company information systems.
• Monitors and maintains regularly scheduled municipal reports and submits to customers within required time frame.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
