Job summary

J.S. Held is seeking a Senior Compensation professional to align internal pay with external market data and lead design, implementation, and governance of base pay, incentives, and total rewards. You will analyze roles, ensure equity, and collaborate with Payroll and Finance to administer programs.

The role requires 8+ years in compensation, with a preference for experience in large global professional services. Strong reporting, communication, and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance or related field.
• 8+ years of experience with compensation methodology and analysis.
• Experience with creating reports and extracting and analyzing data from an HRIS.
• Experience in a large, global professional services firm desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess alignment with internal and external compensation data to ensure equity and competitiveness.
• Design, implement, and monitor compensation programs including base pay, incentive pay and total rewards.
• Conduct job analysis and evaluate positions to determine salary bands and ranges.
• Review job descriptions and position levels within the hierarchy.
• Partner with stakeholders to develop compensation plans that attract and retain talent.
• Collaborate with Payroll and Finance for program administration.
• Generate analytical compensation reports to support budgeting and decisions.
• Provide reports and clarification of policies to HR and business leaders.
• Administer annual compensation activities like merit increases and bonuses.
• Provide market research as needed.
• Monitor compensation trends and comply with laws and regulations.
• Contribute to special projects and ad hoc requests.
