Job summary

OpenRouter, Inc. seeks a founding Community Lead to steward its growing developer community. You will own OpenRouter's Discord, design events, and scale programs while collaborating with DevRel and marketing.

You will shape how the function scales, creating event kits and automation to enable community members in multiple locales to run their own events. You will focus on digital engagement with an 80/20 balance toward online work vs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in community management or developer community roles.
• Experience running Discord communities at meaningful scale (events, programs, moderation).
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and their APIs; able to discuss model tradeoffs with developers.
• Strong written communication with a natural, human voice across social channels.
• Self-directed and entrepreneurial; able to define problems and execute independently.

Responsibilities

• Own and run OpenRouter's Discord end to end, including events and challenges.
• Scale recognition programs for contributors and helpers with new roles and benefits.
• Recruit, onboard, and support a mod team; design non-monetary recognition.
• Listen to community sentiment and report insights to product and design teams.
• Build automations to surface community signals at scale.
