Job summary

OpenRouter seeks a Community Lead to become the heartbeat of its developer community. You will own the Discord, grow our presence on X, Reddit, and other channels, and help transform a thriving community into the best place for AI builders.

This founding role is hands-on: in 3 months you'll steward the community, shape scalable programs, recruit a mod team, and collaborate with DevRel and marketing to align community work with product feedback.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in community management, developer community, or a closely related role.
• Experience running Discord communities (or similar) at meaningful scale, including events, programs, and moderation.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and their APIs; able to discuss model tradeoffs and techniques with developers.

Responsibilities

• Discord Stewardship: Own and run OpenRouter's Discord end to end, design events and challenges.
• Community Programs: Scale recognition programs for contributors and helpers with new roles and programs.
• Moderation & Mod Team: Build and support a team of moderators with non-monetary recognition.
• Community Pulse: Monitor sentiment and report insights back to teams.
