Placements24 is seeking a proactive Community Engagement Coordinator for a remote role with a non-profit serving the Northern Cape community. You will build relationships with local leaders, identify needs, and help implement programs that improve well-being and sustainable development.

You will design and execute engagement strategies, facilitate meetings, gather feedback, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure community perspectives shape initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in community development, outreach, engagement, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Community Development, or Public Administration.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement strategies to enhance community engagement and participation in organizational programs.
• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with community members, leaders, and local organizations.
• Identify community needs, challenges, and opportunities through active listening and dialogue.
• Facilitate community meetings, workshops, and information sessions (virtual and in-person where applicable).
• Mobilize community support and participation in projects and initiatives.
• Serve as a liaison between the organization and the communities it serves.
• Gather feedback from the community to inform program development and adaptation.
• Support the planning and execution of community outreach activities.
• Document engagement activities, outcomes, and lessons learned.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure community perspectives are integrated into organizational strategies.
