Little City Foundation seeks an Employment First Community Developer to connect job seekers with local employers. The role is remote and based in the Elgin area, with responsibilities spanning job matching and employer outreach.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in human services or business, 2+ years of relevant experience, and strong communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a valid Illinois driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; two years of related experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory agencies and funding sources (DRS, CARF).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for community-based employment sites and employers.
• Evaluate participant placement and employability to ensure proper job matches.
• Perform work-site analyses and document performance.
• Support new hires and provide ongoing workplace assistance per caseload.
• Market the agency and job seekers to increase sustainable job placements.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements and safety standards.
