Job summary

Metronet is hiring a Community Development Manager in Tallahassee to identify and secure new residential sales opportunities across markets. You will coordinate market development plans, build relationships with housing contractors, HOAs, and utility companies, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver efficient service expansion.

The role requires 4-year business education and 5+ years in business development/sales/marketing, with strong communication to C-Suite and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in business, or related experience.
• 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
• Working knowledge of Access Laws, rules, and FCC requirements.
• Documented experience communicating with C-Suite.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Willingness to work as a team and independently.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) is required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with high confidentiality standards.
• Experience in operations, marketing, or real estate preferred.
• Available to travel for training or as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a targeted sales approach by researching territory and competitive landscape.
• Negotiate with developers, builders, city contacts and HOAs to secure access agreements.
• Use maps, GIS, and FCC intel to evaluate residential growth opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of services.
• Develop quick revenue opportunities with cross-functional partners.
• Manage pipeline and projects using CRM software.
• Develop relationships with local organizations to increase Metronet awareness.
• Represent Metronet at community, governmental, and economic events.
• Meet monthly/quarterly quota for residential market growth.
• Collaborate with zoning, permitting authorities and market Supervisors.
