Job summary

One Step Software seeks a Community Manager to be the face of the company online, on the phone, and in person. This is an individual-contributor builder role focused on growing our presence in places where operators gather and in live trainings, events, and partnerships.

You will bridge One Step with the community, listen to operator needs, and bring insights back to product, support, and marketing, while measuring impact and iterating on what’s working.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in community, partnerships, or customer success at a B2B SaaS company, with results you can point to on activation and retention.
• Genuinely personable. Comfortable on the phone with frustrated users and in front of groups of 50.
• A strong writer who can make text sound human and relatable.
• Metrics-driven: you know what to track and how to adjust based on data.
• Organized enough to run projects without reminders.
• Hands-on: you’ve done the work, not just managed others.
• Entrepreneurial mindset; this role has no script and thrives on initiative.
• Startup experience is preferred.
• Experience serving small businesses.
• Background or genuine interest in healthcare, behavioral health, or addiction treatment.

Responsibilities

• Build our presence online and in person.
• Host live group trainings for new and power users.
• Get out into the real world—meetups, partnerships, conferences, and more.
• Listen to operators’ needs and advocate for them to the product and marketing teams.
• Identify and activate advocates inside the customer base.
• Produce helpful content and resources for the community.
• Measure activities, report results, and double down on what works.
