Job summary

A leading engineering services firm is seeking a remote Commissioning Manager for the Eastern US region. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and documenting all commissioning activities for utility substations, along with troubleshooting and contractor management. Candidates should have a background in electrical engineering with at least three years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and readiness for travel. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in utility testing and commissioning.
• Ability to read construction and schematic diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of relay communication.
• Experience with medium and high voltage equipment.
• Flexibility for travel and work hours.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, perform and document commissioning activities.
• Review wiring diagrams and engineering documents.
• Oversee contractors and perform troubleshooting.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation.
• Identify risks and develop site risk assessments.

Skills

Read and understand construction drawings

Electrical protection systems knowledge

Basic understanding of AC and DC schematics

Testing and commissioning knowledge

Excellent verbal and written communication

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering

Associate of Science degree
