Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to implement commissioning tasks for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems on renovation and new construction projects. The role is client facing with ~75% travel and flexible work locations including work-from-home options.

Responsibilities include leading commissioning meetings, documenting tests, and coordinating with contractors and owners. Strong MEP knowledge and engineering degree are required, with FE/PE or related certifications

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or building science; two years of relevant experience or 5 years equivalent experience in MEP systems.
Must have knowledge of MEP systems installation and operation.
FE and PE path preferred; LEED AP and commissioning certification preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present technical information clearly.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple ongoing tasks and project files.

Responsibilities

Verify systems are designed, installed, and operate per design criteria.
Review MEP design documents, submittals, and sequences of operation for conformance.
Plan, chair, and document commissioning meetings.
Write detailed system checklists and functional performance tests.
Conduct site walks and inspections; create site observation reports.
