Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal commercial insurance applications, evaluating risks and pricing.

• Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines, policies, and risk appetite.
• Clearly communicate underwriting decisions and rationale to brokers and stakeholders.
• Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities with existing clients.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lines underwriting, with a proven track record of managing profitable portfolios.
• In-depth knowledge of various commercial insurance products (e.g., General Liability, Property, Workers' Compensation).
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in virtual collaboration tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Proficiency in underwriting software and MS Office Suite.
• Relevant professional designations (e.g., ACII) are highly advantageous.
