Job summary

CBR is seeking a paid freelance, remote contributor to produce original Comics - Classic Strips content and related features. You will pitch topics to the Editorial team, maintain consistency as a contributor, and adhere to CBR Editorial Guidelines while delivering high-quality content.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years producing comics content, a passion for comics, SEO experience, and familiarity with a CMS. This is a fully remote role with deadlines and timely publication expectations.

Qualifications

• Educational background in entertainment journalism or related field.
• 1+ years of comics-related content production.
• Passion and working knowledge of comics.
• Highly motivated and a team player.
• Experience with SEO practices.
• Experience with a custom CMS, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write original Comics - Classic Strips content for Peanuts, Calvin & Hobbes, Mad Magazine, Boom County, Garfield, Bizarro, Dilbert, The Far Side.
• Pitch feature or list topics to editorial team.
• Be a dedicated and consistent contributor to the site.
• Follow CBR’s editorial guidelines while producing unique and high-quality content.
• Produce articles in a timely manner to ensure the latest industry news and content are available to readers.
• Work under tight deadlines and submit tasks on time.
