Job summary

Comic Book Resources (CBR) is seeking paid freelance contributors to create original Comics content from anywhere in the United States. This role emphasizes timely, high-quality articles on classic comic strips and related topics.

You will pitch ideas, adhere to editorial standards, and publish under tight deadlines while collaborating with the Editorial team to engage CBR’s readers with up-to-date entertainment coverage.

Qualifications

• Educational background in entertainment journalism or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in producing Comics-related content.
• Have a passion and working knowledge of Comics.
• Highly motivated and a team player.
• Experience with SEO practices.
• Experience with a custom CMS, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write original Comics - Classic Strips pieces: Peanuts, Calvin & Hobbes, Mad Magazine, Boom County, Garfield, Bizarro, Dilbert, The Far Side.
• Pitch Feature or List topics to our Editorial team.
• Be a dedicated and consistent contributor to the site.
• Follow CBR’s general Editorial Guidelines while producing unique and high-quality content.
• Produce articles in a timely manner to ensure that the latest industry news and most interesting content are always available to CBR’s loyal readers.
• Work under tight deadlines and submit tasks on time.
