Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education administration, counseling, or related field; master's preferred.
• Proven experience in academic institutions or higher education.
• Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft or Ellucian and MS Office.
• Exceptional public speaking skills for workshops or presentations.
• Experience in individual and group counseling focused on student support.
• Familiarity with educational compliance laws and mandated reporting requirements.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations with sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions focused on transfer planning, academic advising, and career development.
• Assist students in evaluating transfer options, including researching institutions and articulation agreements.
• Guide students through applications, transcripts, materials, and deadlines.
• Maintain knowledge of transfer regulations and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with faculty, admissions offices, and external institutions to facilitate transfer pathways.
• Use student information systems to track progress and document advising sessions.
• Conduct workshops and informational sessions to promote transfer opportunities.
• Mentor students in developing academic plans aligned with long-term goals.
• Stay informed on higher education trends and recruitment strategies.
