  • Assist students in evaluating transfer options, including researching suitable institutions, programs, and articulation agreements.
  • Guide students through the application process, including reviewing transcripts, preparing application materials, and understanding deadlines.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational policies, transfer regulations, and compliance standards such as mandated reporting laws and school policies.
  • Collaborate with faculty, admissions offices, and external institutions to facilitate smooth transfer pathways.
  • Utilize student information systems such as PeopleSoft or Ellucian to track student progress and document advising sessions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in education administration, counseling, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience working within academic institutions or higher education environments.
  • Strong knowledge of student information systems such as PeopleSoft or Ellucian, as well as Microsoft Office tools.
  • Exceptional public speaking skills with the ability to engage audiences effectively during workshops or presentations.
  • Experience in individual and group counseling with a focus on student support services.
  • Familiarity with educational compliance laws, mandated reporting requirements, and school policies governing student records.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with students from diverse cultural backgrounds with sensitivity and understanding.
  • Excellent analysis skills for evaluating student transcripts, academic records, and transfer credit evaluations.
  • Strong communication and writing skills essential for documentation, reports, and correspondence.
  • Knowledge of university admission processes, recruiting strategies, and teaching experience is advantageous.
