Job summary

egelloC is a fast-growing, fully remote education coaching company guiding students through the college admissions journey. The College Admissions Strategist collaborates with families, develops personalized strategies, and positions stories for UC/CSU applications and the Common App across a national client base.

The role emphasizes long-term planning, accountability, and cross-functional teamwork, with a strong preference for IEC background and experience managing the full admissions process

Qualifications

• 5+ years of college admissions coaching, counseling, or mentoring experience.
• Experience as an Independent Educational Consultant (IEC) and/or Public High School College Counselor is strongly preferred.
• Experience independently managing the full college admissions counseling process from planning to final submission.
• Deep familiarity with UC and CSU admissions systems, including PIQs and positioning.
• Strong understanding of Top 100 U.S. universities and admissions strategy.

Responsibilities

• Guide students and families through academic planning, extracurricular development, testing strategy, and application timelines.
• Help students build competitive long-term profiles aligned with interests and target universities.
• Advise students on UC and Common App positioning.
• Provide transparent guidance to families with accountability and strategy.
• Monitor progress, identify gaps, and intervene to keep students on track.
• Collaborate with Essay Editing, Client Success, and leadership teams to ensure a high-quality experience.
