Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance is seeking a Coding Supervisor to lead TOA coders and support the Coding Manager within the Revenue Cycle. This remote role focuses on supervising daily workflow, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining coding production.

The ideal candidate holds CPC/CCS-P/COSC certification with at least 3 years of coding experience (orthopedic preferred) and excellent communication skills. Proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word is required.

Qualifications

• Certification required: CPC, CCS-P and/or COSC.
• Must reside and work in TN (Middle TN, Knoxville, or Columbia area).
• Orthopaedic coding experience strongly preferred, but not required.
• Experience in all facets of medical office billing.
• Minimum 3 years coding experience; clinic and surgery preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

• Supervise TOA coders and support the Coding Manager.
• Maintain coding production levels and provide guidance.
• Monitor emails between coders and providers for timely resolution.
• Drive coding workflow efficiency and meet TOA goals.
• Assist in hiring and new coder training; participate in performance management.
