Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for CNS to engage Key Influencers and Local Practice Leaders within the ecosystem.

The MSL will deliver clinical, economic, and humanistic information to support patient outcomes and align with ecosystem priorities. The role involves building relationships across medical, patient access, marketing, and market access teams, providing education, and potentially covering multiple CNS products in the territory.

Qualifications

• MD/DO, PharmD or PhD in life sciences or Master’s with equivalent psychiatry or CNS clinical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical medical affairs or relevant work experience.
• Understanding of health systems and patient care delivery.
• Strong business acumen and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Contribute a clinical and scientific perspective to the local execution plan addressing challenges to improve patient care.
• Build, cultivate, and leverage external relationships with scientific/medical customers and organizations.
• Develop deep understanding of ecosystem to align with patient-centric strategy and priorities.
• Provide evidence-based information demonstrating value of Otsuka products.
• Lead internal relationships to execute local medical strategies within timelines.
• Disseminate disease state and healthcare landscape information to customers.
• Responsible for clinical and data-focused training of speakers; support speaker bureau as needed.
• Assist with clinical trials, health economic outcomes research, and ISTs.
