Job summary

Kennametal Stellite Inc. is seeking a CNC Tooling Sales and Application Engineer to drive metal-cutting tool sales and provide technical direction to customers. The role blends machining know-how with sales expertise, focusing on new and existing accounts within the Salt Lake City area.

The position is remote-friendly with a strong field component and company vehicle. The ideal candidate has CNC machining experience, 1–2 years in technical sales, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining industry experience.
• 1-2 years of technical sales and/or application experience.
• Proficient in product knowledge and troubleshooting; tailor solutions to customer needs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; strong customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed revenue targets by selling metal-cutting solutions to customers.
• Generate, qualify, and manage sales leads, prospects, and accounts.
• Lead the full sales process from prospecting to closing and negotiations.
• Develop and execute strategic territory plans to achieve revenue goals.
• Provide pre-sales technical and commercial guidance to customers.
• Maintain up-to-date customer and project records in CRM to ensure a healthy pipeline.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support customers’ needs and events.
• Conduct product demonstrations and pre-sales workshops in the territory.
• Represent Kennametal at tradeshows and conferences within the territory.
• Deliver cost savings through analysis of application needs.
