Job summary

Atlas Fibre in Northbrook, IL is seeking a CNC Programmer with Mastercam expertise to support our growing machining operation. You will program CNC mills from CAD models, develop efficient toolpaths, and collaborate with machinists and engineers to improve processes and quality.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of CNC programming, strong Mastercam experience, and a solid understanding of GD&T. This hands-on role requires attention to detail in a shop environment with opportunities for process

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• Mastercam or similar CAM software experience required.
• Ability to program from CAD models and use GD&T on complex parts.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC mills using Mastercam for complex plastic and composite parts.
• Develop and optimize toolpaths, setups, and machining strategies.
• Work from CAD models, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Apply GD&T principles to ensure accuracy and tight tolerances.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot and improve processes.
• Create and maintain setup sheets and work instructions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across programming and production.
• Assist with in-process troubleshooting and cycle time optimization.

OverviewAtlas Fibre is hiring a CNC Programmer with Mastercam experience to support our growing machining operation in Northbrook, IL.
