Job summary

Torrey Holistics seeks a skilled engineer to own 5-axis NC programming in Mastercam within a high-mix, low-volume shop. You will drive strategy, post-processing, and prove-out while collaborating with design, production, and automation teams to resolve manufacturability issues.

You’ll design fixtures, select tooling, and validate toolpaths through simulations and on-machine checks, contributing to lean/Six Sigma initiatives and best practices documentation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing.
• Proven 5-axis CNC programming expertise.
• Track record integrating automation into machining cells.
• Fluency in CAD/CAM and G-code (Mastercam highly preferred).
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own 5-axis NC programming in Mastercam—from strategy to post-processing and prove-out.
• Deploy automation solutions to reduce changeover and increase spindle utilization.
• Lead lean/Six Sigma initiatives and lock in best practices via clear documentation.
• Champion safety, quality, and environmental compliance at every step.
• Program and troubleshoot multi-axis operations, optimizing cycle time and surface finish.
• Design fixtures, select tooling, and validate toolpaths with simulation and on-machine checks.
• Standardize automation workflows and NC templates for repeat builds.
