Defense Unicorns seeks a Compliance Lead for CMMC Level 1/2 engagements. You will own NIST SP 800-171 interpretation, scoping, documentation, and assessment readiness from kickoff through sustainment, writing records and verifying results for assessor readiness across varied Windows, macOS, GCC High, and cloud environments.

As the customer-facing lead, you scope the boundary, author the System Security Plan, drive control implementations, and coordinate with assessors.

Formación

• Experience taking defense contractors through NIST SP 800-171 / CMMC Level 2 end to end; led at least one successful C3PAO or DIBCAC assessment.
• Ability to write assessor-ready documentation: System Security Plans, policies, POA&M, data-flow and network diagrams.
• Hands-on implementation of NIST SP 800-171 controls in M365 GCC High or Google Workspace; validate implementations beyond screenshots.
• Endpoint management across Windows/macOS; experience with Intune or Jamf and hardening baselines.
• Experience centralizing audit logs and alerts in a SIEM and managing vulnerability scanning & backups.
• Knowledge of networking/perimeter controls; ability to scope boundary and verify practices.
• Customer-facing lead: run meetings, explain requirements to executives and IT staff, document decisions.
• Ability to manage 4–6 concurrent engagements in remote, asynchronous environments.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as primary customer contact for the life of the engagement: kickoff, sessions, status updates, and questions.
• Scope the assessment boundary and produce data-flow and boundary diagrams per CMMC Level 2 guidance.
• Lead engagements from intake to assessor-ready package, maintaining evidence standards.
• Author and maintain the System Security Plan, policies, POA&M, and evidence library; score self-assessments.
• Implement technical controls in customer tenants: identity, MFA, conditional access, least privilege.
• Stand up endpoint management with Intune/Jamf: enrollment, policies, encryption, patching.
• Build logging/monitoring stack: SIEM, log retention, vulnerability tracking, backups.
• Assess environment using CMMC Level 2 methods; conduct pre-assessment readiness review.
• Prepare customers for C3PAO, coach on interviews, and assist POA&M closure.
• Run sustainment: continuous monitoring cadence, change reviews, reassessment readiness.
