Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer based in the United States to lead security and compliance for an unclassified IT environment supporting defense and national security operations.

In this hands‑on role, you will implement NIST SP 800‑171 and CMMC Level 2 controls, maintain the SSP and POA&Ms, and coordinate audits with IT and leadership while securing cloud, hybrid, and on‑premises systems.

Formación

• Five to eight years of professional cybersecurity experience, including experience with regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 assessment guides.
• Experience configuring and securing Google Workspace in regulated environments.
• Ability to conduct technical security self-assessments and collect audit evidence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience across cloud, hybrid, and on‑premises IT environments.

Responsabilidades

• Own the security and compliance posture of the unclassified environment in alignment with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2.
• Track findings, manage POA&Ms, and coordinate remediation with technical teams.
• Prepare for and support third-party assessments and audits.
• Manage SSP updates and evidence for C3PAO assessments.
• Secure Google Workspace, Active Directory, and Group Policy; enforce least privilege and secure remote access.
• Lead change management and coordinate end-to-end security controls across IT teams.
