Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC seeks an experienced Systems Engineer for remote support of VA cloud systems. You will manage AWS/Azure environments, Linux/Windows systems, and automation tools to ensure reliability and security.

The role requires 8+ years in production systems, strong scripting and IaC skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. This is a W-2, US-based remote position.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of systems engineering experience in production environments.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud ecosystems and monitoring.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support for complex cloud systems.
• Detect, isolate, document, report, and resolve outages rapidly.
• Document problems in logging and discrepancy tools for traceability.
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain and install computing infrastructure and assets.
• Follow VA security policies and best practices.
