Peraton is seeking a Senior Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to design and develop advanced Python-based AWS cloud solutions for the Cloud Foundation Services platform. You will apply IaC with Terraform to build scalable, reliable tools and collaborate across Agile teams to drive operational excellence.

You will work in a remote capacity, applying SRE principles, defining SLIs/SLOs, and contributing to incident response with a focus on cost-aware, reliable cloud infrastructure.

Formación

• Must have U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust clearance.
• 8+ years experience with Python and enterprise-grade AWS tools.
• 7+ years in software development with focus on reliability/platform engineering.
• 3+ years hands-on AWS experience (EC2, VPC, S3, Lambda, IAM, etc.) and cost optimization.
• 3+ years applying SRE principles (SLIs/SLOs, toil automation).
• IaC expertise with Terraform, module development and state management.
• Strong CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Observability tools and practices including Grafana, CloudWatch, and Canary.
• Experience defining SLOs/SLIs and conducting RCAs; familiarity with postmortems.
• Experience in Agile/Scaled Agile environments and ITSM processes.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain reliability solutions and SRE utilities in Python for AWS.
• Develop IaC using Terraform to manage AWS resources and optimize cost.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automate tests for reliable delivery.
• Define SRE standards, metrics (SLIs/SLOs) and best practices across teams.
• Participate in incident management and on-call rotation; troubleshoot issues.
• Stay current on AWS services and drive adoption of new technologies.
• Collaborate in Agile/SaFe environments to deliver cloud automation.
• Produce blameless postmortems with actionable items.
