Lumen is a global network provider enabling AI-ready connectivity across cloud, edge, and enterprise workloads. We seek a Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and support security solutions protecting critical infrastructure and data in cloud environments.

In this role you’ll work across MFA, Endpoint Security, Email Security and DLP, collaborating with seasoned engineers who value continuous learning and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information/Cyber Security, Computer Science, related field, or relevant experience.
• Experience in cloud security and knowledge of MFA, DLP, Email Security as well as Endpoint Security.
• Candidate must be able to obtain Government Suitability.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus software.
• Possess or be willing to pursue relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security
• Engineer Associate, or equivalent are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud environments.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts in the cloud.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans of cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation for cloud security.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies related to cloud security.
• Provide operational engineering support for Multifactor Authentication, Endpoint Security, Email Security and Data Loss Prevention as needed.
