General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Performance Tester / Platform Engineer for the Case Management Modernization program.

The role is remote with 40 hours weekly, supporting agile teams to modernize a cloud-based case management system for 204+ federal courts. You will design automated performance tests, define KPIs, and monitor production readiness across IaaS/PaaS environments, collaborating closely with developers, QA, SREs, and operations to optimize performance and

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science required.
5+ years of related experience with 1+ year in deploying to clouds.
Experience in performance engineering and automated testing of cloud-based apps.
Strong knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, BlazeMeter, k6).
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, New Relic, CloudWatch, Elastic).
Scripting in Python, Bash, or JavaScript for automation.
Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift; cloud infra performance; telemetry/logging standards.
Experience in Agile/Scrum; DevSecOps/GitOps; containerized apps (Docker, k8s, OpenShift).

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain automated performance testing frameworks in CI/CD.
Define and track KPIs based on SLAs and requirements.
Conduct load, stress, and scalability testing for multi-tenant use.
Develop and manage a performance dashboard and reporting.
Set up real-time monitoring/telemetry for performance.
Collaborate with devs, QA, SREs to identify bottlenecks and optimize.
Validate performance of critical workflows and APIs.
Capture and report system metrics for tuning and diagnostics.
Contribute to MSR and sprint-level performance docs.
Align testing strategy with DevSecOps and MLOps practices.
Develop and execute formal performance test plans; write test cases.
