Portnox Access Layers Ltd. is seeking an Onboarding Engineer to lead customer deployments of our cloud-native network access control solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and wireless connectivity.
• Experience owning technical implementations or resolving difficult infrastructure problems.
• Ability to drive self-learning of 802.1X and ramp-up through documentation, hands-on testing, and focused questions.
• Troubleshooting judgment; test assumptions, follow evidence, and involve others when needed.
• Excellent customer communication to explain tradeoffs and manage expectations.
• Organizational skills to manage several implementations and surface risks.
• Experience with identity platforms and certificates (Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, Jamf, Okta); familiarity with Portnox/ISE/Aruba is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Discovery and planning: understand the customer environment, confirm scope, and build a plan with owners, milestones and acceptance criteria.
• Customer leadership: lead technical sessions, explain recommendations, and address blockers early.
• Implementation: guide wired and wireless deployments involving 802.1X, RADIUS, certificates, identity integrations, device compliance, and access policies.
• Troubleshooting: use logs, packet captures, and testing to isolate problems.
• Production rollout: plan pilots, phased deployment, validation, and rollback procedures with customer teams.
• Escalation and follow-through: bring Support, Engineering, and Product into issues with clear evidence and next steps.
• Training and transition: train admins, document the deployed configuration, and complete handoff with owned tasks.
