Job summary

Nexcess is seeking a Service Delivery Manager to own the customer journey from signed agreement through go-live, including new implementations and migrations. You translate scope into executable plans, lead kickoffs, coordinate cross-functional resources, and drive production-ready environments.

This role requires strong cloud infrastructure knowledge and excellence in communication, risk management, and process improvement. Travel about 5–10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of cloud and private cloud infrastructure, virtualization, compute, storage, networking, backup and disaster recovery.
• Experience delivering cloud or infrastructure migrations across platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V, or managed hosting environments.
• Experience managing migration activities including discovery, dependency mapping, wave planning, cutover planning, IP/DNS changes, rollback criteria and post-cutover validation.
• Experience supporting projects from pre-sales discovery and scoping through implementation and production delivery.
• Ability to build and maintain complex project schedules with dependencies, milestones, and critical-path activities.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer journey from signed agreement through go-live, including scope, planning, sequencing, delivery, and customer communication.
• Lead technical implementations and migrations with formal project management practices: kickoffs, schedules, milestones, risk management, status reporting, and go-live sign-off.
• Coordinate private cloud migration programs, including multi-wave and multi-customer migrations.
• Map dependencies, sequence resources, manage network/IP changes, plan cutovers, and validate post-cutover outcomes.
• Own and improve time-to-value for Managed Cloud implementations and drive delivery risk mitigation.
• Report implementation status, capacity, risks, and delivery performance to Managed Cloud leadership.
