Job summary

Mirantis, Inc. in Austin, TX seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer specializing in Kubernetes and KubeVirt to architect and deliver enterprise-grade platforms across hybrid AWS and Azure.

You will design, implement, and operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure for containerized and VM workloads, using KubeVirt to unify VM and container management. The role emphasizes DevSecOps, Harbor security, CI/CD with Argo CD, IaC with Terraform/Ansible, and GitOps practices, while mentoring distributed teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Five (5) years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in job offered, Software Engineer, Software Developer, Systems Engineer, or in a related occupation.
• Design and operation of production level Kubernetes clusters for enterprise workloads.
• AWS or Azure production infrastructure, including hybrid or multi-cloud architecture design.
• CI/CD pipeline implementation using Argo CD and JFrog Artifactory for automated deployments.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Ansible for large-scale automation.
• DevSecOps practices, including Harbor security, access management, and compliance alignment.
• Monitoring and observability platforms for production systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver enterprise-grade Kubernetes platforms across hybrid AWS and Azure environments.
• Design, implement, and operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure for containerized and VM workloads using KubeVirt.
• Build and maintain production observability platforms to improve MTTR and reliability.
• Establish and enforce DevSecOps standards, including Harbor registry security and RBAC controls.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC, standardizing environments and reducing deploy times.
• Implement and operate Argo CD-based GitOps workflows for auditable releases.
• Mentor teams and collaborate with cross-functional, distributed groups.
• Configure multi-network VM/container scenarios with Multus CNI.
