Job summary

Tripoint Solutions LLC is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and secure AWS GovCloud infrastructure for a federal education program. You will collaborate with Salesforce, integration, and data teams to keep environments compliant and automated.

The role requires 5+ years in cloud engineering, hands-on GovCloud experience, and strong scripting in Python. Remote work is available, with eligibility based on state locations and federal program needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or operations.
• Hands-on AWS GovCloud experience.
• Experience with AWS compute, storage, networking, and identity (VPCs, subnets, Route 53, etc.).
• Experience integrating AWS with Salesforce and MuleSoft.
• Hands-on AWS Glue experience.
• IaC experience with CloudFormation or Terraform.
• IAM policy design and least-privilege access.
• Linux system administration.
• Python automation and scripting.
• CI/CD using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins.
• Git and version-controlled infrastructure workflows.
• Cloud security principles and hardening.
• Track record of automating manual operational work.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and operate AWS GovCloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, VPCs, Route 53).
• Author and maintain infrastructure as code in version control with automated validation.
• Build and support integrations between AWS and Salesforce/MuleSoft.
• Build and maintain AWS Glue pipelines for secure data movement.
• Implement S3 lifecycle, tiering, and retention policies.
• Ensure least-privilege access, encryption, and network isolation for data services.
• Maintain IAM policies, KMS and secrets management.
• Incorporate automated security scanning and monitoring into CI/CD.
• Support STIG, ATO, and vulnerability remediation timelines.
• Maintain deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and change control artifacts.
• Improve cost visibility with tagging, rightsizing, and cleanup of resources.
• Automate operational work using Python.
