Job summary

Tripoint Solutions LLC is seeking a Cloud Engineer to build, operate, and automate AWS GovCloud infrastructure for a federal education program. You will work with the cloud team, Salesforce, and data teams to keep environments secure, available, and compliant.

Location: Remote. Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to supported states. The role emphasizes automation and infrastructure as code, with a strong focus on security and governance in a federal context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or operations.
• Hands-on AWS GovCloud experience.
• Experience with VPC design, subnets, routing, and security groups.
• Proficiency with Python for automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and operate AWS GovCloud infrastructure for the education program.
• Develop infrastructure as code with CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Integrate AWS with Salesforce and MuleSoft interfaces.
• Build and maintain AWS Glue pipelines for secure data movement.
• Implement S3 lifecycle, tiering, and retention policies.
• Ensure least-privilege access with IAM, KMS, and network isolation.
• Automate security scanning and monitoring in CI/CD pipelines.
• Support STIG, RMF, ATO activities and vulnerability remediation.
• Create deployment runbooks and change control artifacts.
• Improve cost visibility through tagging and rightsizing.
• Automate operational tasks with Python.
