Job summary

Tactibit Technologies is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to design and provision enterprise cloud services in AWS, supporting NOAA data initiatives. This remote role collaborates with government staff, contractors, and scientists to migrate workloads to private, public, and hybrid clouds, while ensuring security and cost efficiency.

You will work with a team of engineers to optimize cloud infrastructure, implement IaC, and support CI/CD pipelines in a mission-critical federal environment.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 6+ years of cloud computing solution development, architecture, or engineering.
• 4+ years migrating on-premise applications to cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud platforms.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience migrating containerized workloads using Docker or Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; US citizenship and ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Architect, plan, and implement new cloud services and infrastructure based on customer specifications.
• Migrate functions and on-premise workloads to private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures.
• Serve as SME for end-to-end cloud systems engineering including networking, provisioning, and governance.
• Design improvements to maximize performance, availability, and security of the enterprise cloud.
• Collaborate with Cloud Architect to enhance AWS-hosted environment and new capabilities.
• Monitor cloud usage and manage provisioning and costs.
• Support security testing and compliance requirements in mission-critical environments.
• Work in a DevOps setting supporting development, testing, operations, and troubleshooting.
