Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Cloud Database Engineer to own reliability and uptime for WaveMark Solutions. You will drive automation, observability, and secure deployments of cloud databases, collaborating with software and IT teams.

The role emphasizes production responsiveness, performance tuning, and disaster recovery strategy across Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL in cloud environments. Remote US-based candidates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years managing production Oracle databases in regulated environments.
• Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS or GCP) and automation tooling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, observability, and SRE principles.

Responsibilities

• Administer Oracle databases in managed cloud environments (primary).
• Build monitoring, auditing, logging, and alerting systems.
• Support deployments, releases, and data governance.
• Analyze and optimize database performance; perform RCAs.
• Design backup, restore, replication, and failover strategies.
