Job summary

Tripoint Solutions LLC is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build secure, reliable cloud environments and automate deployment processes.

The role emphasizes IAM, security, cost optimization, and CI/CD integration. This is a remote US-based position, requiring residence in supported states with no relocation assistance provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field
• 5+ years of cloud engineering or operations experience
• Hands-on AWS experience across compute, storage, networking, and identity
• Infrastructure as code experience with CloudFormation or Terraform
• Proficiency in Python for automation
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent
• IAM policy design, KMS, and least-privilege access models
• VPC design, routing, security groups, Route 53, load balancing, VPN/Direct Connect
• Working knowledge of cloud security principles and hardening practices
• Track record of automating manual operational work

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and operate AWS infrastructure components (EC2, S3, EBS, RDS, VPCs, subnets, security groups, Route 53, Redshift, CloudFormation)
• Write and maintain infrastructure as code with version control and automated validation
• Design S3 storage architecture with lifecycle policies and tiering
• Support Redshift data warehouse and secure data pipelines from CRM/ LMS/partner feeds
• Secure RDS/Redshift with least-privilege access, encryption, and network isolation
• Implement IAM policies, KMS key management, and secrets management
• Support identity governance including SSO federation and ICAM integration
• Integrate automated security scanning and compliance into CI/CD pipelines
• Support STIG, RMF, ATO activities and vulnerability remediation per timelines
• Maintain deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and 99% availability
• Plan capacity scaling with growth of users/partners
• Drive cloud cost visibility and rightsize resources
• Automate operational tasks using Python
