Job summary

Jamf is seeking a Systems Development Engineer II to help automate and build the backend infrastructure powering Jamf Cloud. You will work on production environments, contribute to security-focused designs, and develop tooling and automation that enable engineers to build and deploy Jamf products in the Cloud.

Qualifications

• CI tools and techniques (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, Github Actions).
• Configuration/deployment tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Systems administration focused on performance, capacity planning, forecasting.
• Power user of Linux/Windows/Mac.
• 2+ years in Python or Golang.
• 2+ years using Git/Subversion.
• 2+ years using JIRA or similar tracking tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Experience with cloud-native services and monitoring/logging tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain production environments using IaC, Serverless, and containerization techniques.
• Ensure security best practices are integrated into system designs and configurations.
• Assist in evaluating, planning, configuring, and implementing new software services.
• Develop custom tools and automation through programming.
• Support CI/CD by maintaining and scaling pipelines.
• Apply data lifecycle management with backups, permissions, and auditing.
• Participate in on-call rotation and disaster recovery as needed.
• Be part of an Agile team with code reviews and velocity estimation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Development, Cloud, and Delivery teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
