FedWriters, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Computing Architecture Advisor to support NOAA's MRMS in the cloud. You will guide deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code, and unit tests for MRMS real-time systems and reanalysis workflows in commercial cloud environments.

The role focuses on advising on cloud standards, cost-optimization, and scalable architectures, working with NSSL scientists and engineers in a remote, full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a technical or business discipline.
• 4+ years of professional and/or academic experience.
• Experience with cloud deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code, and unit tests for MRMS or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Advise on deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code, and unit tests for MRMS systems in the cloud.
• Provide recommendations to meet NWS Enterprise Cloud development standards, including budget optimization.
• Support development of optimized pipelines for MRMS reanalysis workflows in the cloud.
• Produce technical documentation (schematics, code repos, test reports) for cloud budget impacts.
• Prepare quarterly status reports.
