FWI (FedWriters, Inc.) is seeking a MRMS Cloud Computing Architecture Advisor to guide the optimization of MRMS real-time systems and reanalysis workflows for deployment in commercial cloud environments. You will advise on deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code, and unit tests that meet NWS Enterprise Cloud development standards, contributing to a mission-critical NOAA product.
The hybrid role requires 90% on-site presence at NSSL in Norman, OK, with travel as needed, and collaboration
As NOAA moves more of its operational weather infrastructure to the cloud, MRMS needs to move with it. As FWI's MRMS Cloud Computing Architecture Advisor supporting NSSL, you will apply specialized cloud-architecture expertise to guide the optimization of MRMS real-time systems and reanalysis workflows for deployment in commercial cloud environments - advising on deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code, and unit tests that meet NWS Enterprise Cloud development standards. If infrastructure-as-code strategy and cloud cost optimization sound like your kind of Tuesday, this role puts that expertise to work on a mission-critical NOAA product.
