Job summary

A-TEK Inc. is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead assessment, design, documentation, and governance of complex cloud and hybrid enterprise environments for a federal client from Silver Spring, MD.

The role focuses on systems engineering, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and modernization initiatives in a remote setting. This remote position requires the ability to obtain and retain a public trust clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
8+ years designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise cloud solutions.
Experience architecting solutions in AWS, Azure, or hybrid clouds.
Experience with RMF, FedRAMP, and security requirements.
Experience producing architecture documentation and roadmaps.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead cloud architecture assessments for IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and CDaaS.
Develop and maintain cloud architecture diagrams, data flows, and security boundary docs.
Analyze As-Is and To-Be architectures to support modernization.
Provide FEAF-aligned recommendations and architectural governance.
Support system lifecycle activities per IEEE/ISO/IEC 15288.
Collaborate with stakeholders across government and engineering teams.
Support DevSecOps by integrating security into CI/CD processes.
Prepare technical analyses and executive briefings.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
